The South Asian Bar Association (SABA-DC) and the Capital Area Muslim Bar Association (CAMBA) invite you to join us for a panel addressing the current anti-Muslim sentiment and the future legal and policy implications of such a climate.

America has always been a country of extraordinary racial and political tension. Rising tensions and violence around the world have caused a recent surge in Islamophobia resulting in both American Muslims and South Asians being victims of threats, assaults, and attacks on their houses of worship.

We look forward to an engaging discussion on this topic with our panelists, including:

  • Abed Ayoub, Legal and Policy Director, ADC.

  • Lakshmi Sridaran, Director of National Policy and Advocacy, SAALT.

  • Eric Treene, Special Counsel for Religious Discrimination, DOJ.

While attendance to this event is open to all interested persons, it is closed to the media.

SABA-DC and CAMBA would like to thank Mayer Brown for its generosity in hosting this event.
