Zaheer Maskatia 

Zaheer is currently Associate Counsel at the Board of Veterans' Appeals. Prior to joining the Board, Zaheer practiced consumer litigation in public and private settings.  He also regularly represents pro bono clients on behalf of the DC Bar. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Zaheer holds a JD from Santa Clara University School of Law, and a BA in Legal Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.  Zaheer enjoys trivia, learning languages, and watching the San Francisco 49ers.

Michelle Weinbaum

Michelle is an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where she practices International Trade and National Security law, and was previously an associate at Skadden.  She focuses her pro bono work on defensive asylum proceedings.  Michelle received her JD from William and Mary Law School, MS from Kansas State University, and BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point.  In her free time, Michelle enjoys running, baking macarons, and listening to podcasts--especially Reply All.

Ali Gadelhak

Ali Gadelhak is a trial attorney with the US Department of Justice where he litigates tax cases in the New England and Great Lakes regions. He started his career at Ernst & Young before serving as an Assistant Attorney General with the Illinois Attorney General's Office. Ali received his JD from Loyola University Chicago, and BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a native Chicagoan and enjoys swimming, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. 


Lawrence Cenk Laws

Lawrence is an associate practicing immigration law with Tucker, Nong & Associates.  His work focuses on asylum and special immigrant juvenile status (SIJS) cases.  Lawrence holds a B.S. in International Relations and Affairs from Georgetown University, a J.D. from the Catholic University of America, and an L.L.M. in Public International Law from KoƧ University in Istanbul.  Lawrence speaks Spanish and Turkish.

Hamid Saahir

Hamid Saahir is a solo practitioner licensed in the District of Columbia and Indiana.  He is a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, where he served as president of the Student Bar Association.   

In addition to serving his clients, Mr. Saahir also serves as a legal advisor for The Nation’s Mosque, Masjid Muhammad.  He is a consultant with WCP Communications where he has helped with public relations on cases including police brutality cases of Jacob Blake and Joel Acevedo, cases led by attorneys Ben Crump and B’Ivory LaMarr.  He assists law firms with trial preparation on major personal injury cases ranging in the millions of dollars. 

Before the law, Mr. Saahir was a high school teacher, a freelance graphic designer, a photographer, and owned and operated 4Cast Magazine, , a print and online publication geared toward urban entertainment and marketing.  Mr. Saahir is a recent Social Media Chair for the ABA Litigation Section's Family Law Committee and served as the past Vice-Chair of the Law Student Division of the National Bar Association.

Sana Siddiqi

Sana Siddiqi is counsel at Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where she practices ethics law.  Previously, she practiced equal opportunity employment law at another federal agency and in private practice, immigration law at a nonprofit, and civil litigation at a boutique law firm.  Sana received her JD from South Texas College of Law Houston and a BA from Rutgers University-New Brunswick.  In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, tending to houseplants, reading (including to her niece), and casual bike rides to bakery cafes.

Tae Aderman

Tae Aderman is currently a Senior Consultant at Deloitte where he is a member of the Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions practice.  He previously worked at a boutique consulting firm where he led a team of anti-money laundering investigators.  Tae received his JD from the George Mason University School of Law and undergraduate degree from Avila University.  In his free time, he enjoys weight training and playing sports.
