Dear CAMBA Community Members,

With the situation in Palestine getting increasingly dire, our hearts ache as we witness the suffering of innocent civilians, including women and children.

Here at home, many of us are experiencing religious and ethnic discrimination. In the most extreme form of hate motivated by anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian sentiments, our community witnessed the brutal murder of Wadea Al Fayoume, a Palestinian-American boy who was celebrating his sixth birthday, and the stabbing of his mother.

In times like these, community support and shared healing can make a significant impact. We encourage you to join us for a CAMBA listening session on Thursday, October 26th from 5:30pm-7:00pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library (401-E Conference Room). We hope to use this as an opportunity to hold space for our legal community to heal, share stories, hear concerns, and identify proper resources.

More than ever, we must come together as a community and support one another as we navigate this difficult and painful time. We hope to find strength and resilience in unity, support, and conversation.

Wishing you and your families strength, peace, and hope during this challenging time.
