CAMBA MOCK INTERVIEW WORKSHOP

This pandemic has changed much of how we operate in the world today, including how we apply for and secure new jobs.  Many of the job interviews held now and in the future will be fully virtual.  Have you ever wondered how to successfully prepare for a virtual interview, or wanted the opportunity to practice your skills in a virtual environment?

The Capital Area Muslim Bar Association (“CAMBA”) will be hosting a virtual mock interview workshop for law students on Saturday, October 31st, from 11 AM to 2 PMThis workshop is open to law students attending law school in the DC Metropolitan Area.

This workshop will consist of a panel of practicing attorneys, who will conduct “mock interviews.”  Each student will be given a 30-minute time slot where the interview will take place.  The interview will last anywhere from 15-20 minutes, with the remaining time being used to provide feedback.

Law students will be assigned their time slots after they register for the workshop.  To register, please complete the form here by October 27 and email a copy of your resume to cambadirectors@gmail.com.  Registrants will receive their specific interview time slot and virtual meeting information on October 29.  Please note, interview time slots are limited and will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.

We are also seeking volunteers who are experienced attorneys that can serve as interviewers on our mock interview panels.  If you are interested in volunteering as an interviewer, please register here by October 27.

In order to prepare for this workshop, students participating in the workshop are requested to prepare questions as if this was an actual interview, and dress accordingly.

If a registered participant needs to cancel their registration, they must notify CAMBA as soon as possible, by emailing cambadirectors@gmail.comto afford another student the opportunity to participate.

CAMBA is excited to present this workshop as a service to its law student members and to students attending law school in the DC Metropolitan Area.

Please contact cambadirectors@gmail.com for any questions related to this event.  Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
